St. Louis Homeschool Expo 2011

March 24-26th will be the St. Louis Homeschool Expo at the First Evangelical Free Church of St Louis County in Manchester, MO.

Jim Wiess will be a featured speaker. (We love Jim Weiss!) If you've never heard him, the Pittsfield Children's Library has several of his CDs.

March Meeting: International Celebration

Friday, March 4th

International Night beginning with a Fellowship dinner at 6:30pm in the Nazarene Family Center. We would like to have foods from foreign countries for the adventurous ones... and hot dogs for the others! :)

We are excited about this event and would like the families to participate by choosing a country or people group to study. Each family will have a space to display their research and projects from the country they choose. We would encourage costumes or even a hat from that country. There will be a "parade of countries" and we ask that you make a flag of that country for the parade. This could be done with fabric, foam sheets or even posterboard and attached to a dowel rod.

We will also be having a missionary family as our guest speakers; they have served in Rwanda and Reunion Island (France) collectively for 15 years. We are pleased and honored that they will be sharing with us.

Skating Party

Roller Skating Party at Good Times Roller Rink in Pittsfield: February 19th, from 4:30-6:30pm. Please do not bring food; concession will be available. $3.00 per person.

Valentine's Party (Service Project)

Friday, February 11th

1:00pm at the Nazarene Family Center

The group will be sending out cards to widows and single parents. Please let me know of anyone you would like to send cards to. Also, the students will be exchanging valentines so I will need a head count on the number of kids attending. Please let me know by February 4th the number of children attending.
